Thank you everyone who voted; the scoring is complete and I wait until I hear something back from Threadless. They will review over 300 top designs and pick which ones they want to print.
I really don't think I scored high enough to get printed. So I will have to wait....wait....and wait! I hope they put me out of my misery soon! :|

in an instant ....what can change?
Friday, June 18, 2010 ....daily life was changed in an instant!
Florida weather in the summer time is always very hot in the morning and stormy in the afternoon. After making a postal run to get an customer's jewelry order in the mail I was sitting at a traffic light waiting for it to change to green when I heard a familiar sound of metal thudding on metal and in an instant later I felt the impact of the car behind me slamming into my RAV4 a QX4 Infinity SUV, which was hit by a mercury sable sending the Infinity into my car. The good news is we were all wearing seat belts!
I love my car ....my poor car! I know, the good thing is I walk away; it's just a car ...right? :(
Ouch! I'm lucky I can drive my car, but it will need some tender loving care.
This life experience relates to the saying on one of my leather wristbands.
Happy Father's Day to all the great Dads!
Be safe and always enjoy every moment!

a personal review: bravo's Work of Art, next great artist
Okay, so did anyone see the show Wednesday night? I did; I'm not overly excited, but it is the first episode and I plan on making a weekly event.
Okay, if you didn't see it the opening episode the first challenge was a random pairing of artists doing a portrait piece of each other. So, the pairs spent, I think 30 minutes, of discovery. The conversation between each other was striking, because of the strong contrasts in personality. I enjoyed the commentary each artist provided during their process it was revealing show a unique initial impression of each other and how you would translate that impression into their own work of art.
I was fascinated to hear the critiques from the individual artists, which gave you a glimpse into how they would rationalize their final artwork to a judge and peers. I loved hearing what the judges said about each piece and especially what each piece conveyed to them.
I was impressed with the artist Miles he was resourceful in the face of difficulty. He problem solved his process to arrive at a work of art that was sublime. I would have loved to have seen his originally intended screen print, but maybe next time.
I would like to see the show a little longer and more commentary from the artists as well as the judges.
I am aware this is a competition and they have high stake, money and a show at the Brooklyn museum, but I must to tip my hat to those brave artists offering a revealing look at what lurks inside.
Thanks guys; Thanks Bravo TV for the programming and good luck to all!

anticipation
I'm excited to see the new Bravo TV show: Work of Art, next great artist http://www.bravotv.com/work-of-art. The show premieres Weds, June 9th 11pm/10pm c. I think it will be cool to see behind the scenes of new artist in different mediums. I know it's a competition between them; not crazy about that part, but it will be interesting to see their process.
STILL waiting on alpacha pics ....sorry! Here is a pic in its place until they arrive.
Warning if you aren't a cat fan then avert your eyes or skip this post.
Okay here is a pic of Melle my sister's baby cat! Awwwe!
Melle is the brother to my sweet baby boy cat Madison James, a.k.a. madi. They are both rescue cats and they are full of attitude on a good day. :-)
Also, anticipating are the new packaging tins for my handmade jewelry products. I'm thinking up some new treats (non-food item) that will be a free gift with a purchase ....ssssh, I must have some secrets!

material decision
Made a decision about the sterling silver thing. I was using 22 gauge sterling silver for the pendant portion of the custom personalized necklaces and I didn't feel positive about it, I guess because of the tarnish issues with sterling silver. Sterling silver will tarnish more quickly because of the copper in sterling silver. Fine silver is a pure silver and resist tarnishing. The cost for fine silver is more, but I think it is worth it.
So, I've decide to go with fine silver for the pendant portion and use sterling silver chains. Just updated the website, the Etsy and Zibbet shops.
May offer a sterling silver chain option: rolo or bead chain; 16" or 18" lenghts??
suppose to get some pics from an alpaca farm ... :-)!
